In 2004 an organization looking for a way to distribute teaching materials online to any number of students ranging from 1 to thousands began researching for how to do this in a cost effective way.
The concept they found hasn't changed even today... Every provider capable of broadcasting live video worldwide, wanted thousands of dollars up front and a minimum payment monthly of nearly a thousand dollars a month... quite overwhelming if you only want to stream to a couple people.
At that time Vidlid's founders realized that the age old concept of bulk purchasing saving money could apply in this process also, but ... what about how to get people to pay, without "Sharing links" or downloading media and emailing it to friends. These questions along with the understanding that not everyone was a "web guru" led Vidlid to the release of their live licensed media concept. This coupled with a worldwide network that makes viewing a live video nearly seamless in every continent on the planet, puts Vidlid in a place to serve, help and change the way people see events, locally, or across the planet.
